Customers like the quality of the vacuum cleaner. They say that it does a great clean up, is easy to use, and affordable. They love the easy dump dirt collector, the washable dust filter, and the battery. The brush head really gets the debris up, leaving visibly clean streaks wherever it passes. The dirt doesn't stand a chance, and it's great for heavy duty vacuuming. The HEPA canister vac, which is great for getting into crevices, is also great for vacuuming up glitter. The secure brush housing with a straight dust path, and a secure brush head, make this the best cordless vacuum that they have had or used.

His....I mean "Our" Electrolux vacuum never died, we still have it. It has a bunch of attachments, still sucks amazing, but is incredibly bulky, hard to use and requires purchasing bags and dealing with the cord accidentally retracting a million times mid-vacuuming. With all its cons, it's still a revolution in my husbands eyes.
After a month and a half with this new vacuum I am finally able to write a review.
Pros:
1) I can see the dirt! The clear canister is incredibly rewarding to me. I love seeing how much filth I'm sucking up and it makes me want to vacuum more. Even my kids are excited by this feature. I vacuum waaaaay more than I ever vacuumed in the past because of this. It's very easy to empty the canister, taking just seconds.
2) It's CORDLESS!!! It might as well be the invention of the microwave. I can vacuum without limits, I feel so free!!!
3) Battery light indicates how much life I have left in the battery. I can vacuum for about 40 minutes on a full charge. There is never a weak suction, when the power runs low it shuts off. There is either a good suction or no suction. The charger lights up to reveal when it's ready again. I'm takes about 3 hours to recharge.
4) Size. It's so light and easy to move around. My kids (ages 6,5,5 &3) now fight over who can vacuum. I sit down eating bon bons while they take turns vacuuming the house.
5) There's a switch for tile/hardwoods floors and another for carpets. I have pure white shiny ceramic tiles covering my foyer, kitchen and kitchen seating area. I hate them, with a passion. I used to sweep at least a dozen times a day. Because this vacuum is so easy to use and portable, I just vacuum my floors now. See ya later, broom.
Now it's time for the Cons, because I would be lying if I didn't name a few;
1) I wish it came with another battery. I could vacuum all day long if I didn't have to spend 3 hours waiting for it to recharge. I use this time to fold laundry, which unfortunately this vacuum doesn't do for me. That's another con.
2) There are no attachments or even attachment kits available for this. Some times I want to get in the deep, dark places that are too hard for my vacuum to reach and it can't. So I don't clean them. So they are still dirty, and then I have to listen to my husband to complain about how his Electrolux could do it all. And that hurts. I'd like a small, fancy suctioning wand, is that too much to ask?
3) Hairy bristles. We have four long haired ladies in our house and I regularly have to cut our hair out from the bristles underneath. Maybe its because the bristle area is smaller than our big, bulky Electrolux, but I have to clean that area more than I did with the old vacuum. It's like another armpit to shave everyday, a small extra hassle.
4) The secret clog. I have had to do maintenance once on the area between the bottom and the frame. I used a skewer to jam in there when the vacuum stopped suctioning once. I pushed my suctioning limits when my dog ate her bed leaving stuffing all over the house. I wanted to save myself the effort of bending over & picking up the stuffing and instead caused myself 1/2 hour of unplugging. It was pretty disgusting. I recommend bending over for big stuff in the future. That may not be a con since it was my own laziness and sheer stupidity that caused it.
Overall I am very happy with this vacuum and my husband approves since I actually not only vacuum now, but vacuum ALL THE TIME now. I wouldn't do it it weren't convenient, easy to use and rewarding. Seriously, dumping the dirt cartridge is like getting rewarded with stickers in school. If it weren't already clear, I recommend this vacuum.
I have a small (less than 1300 sq ft) home with all hard wood floors & 4 very large door mats. It quickly cleans right up to walls, etc by touching the sides or front of the vacuum to it. Pushing the on switch further down turns on the roller brush which cleans our big door mats much better & faster than my last, expensive vacuum cleaner did. We bought 2 extra batteries which I thought was too many, but have found it is perfect. Since I rarely stop vacuuming exactly when a battery runs down, I start with a partial battery & need to use one more battery if I've vacuumed recently, & part of the third battery if it has been an embarrassingly long time since I vacuumed. My husband is not a careful foot wiper, & we have pine shavings, etc., used for animal husbandry that are tracked in, so you may not need but two batteries. I haven't noted how long it takes to charge, but would guess 3 hours. It flashes while charging & has a steady light when charged. I have a method to remind myself to check the battery before going to bed, since charging too long will shorten the battery life, & getting in bed before realizing that a light will be shining in my eyes is annoying. We have finally realized that we can stop looking for a regular vacuum to add to this stick vacuum. The lack of a cord, the light weight, & the quick, extremely efficient cleaning have made it so that no other vacuum can compare. I believe I've used it for about a year, maybe a few months more. Works like new. Also, it is pretty - as classy as a vacuum cleaner can look. Lastly, it is easy to clean out the canister, but gets a lot of dirt on your hand. I have shoulder length hair which gets wrapped around the inner mechanism (better than getting further in the unit.) If there is hair on this part, you simply reach in, turn the cylinder counter-clockwise, pull off the hair, then replace it, turning clockwise till it clicks. It's easy, but when you are trying to rip the tightly woven hairs off the cylinder, it flings dirt on your hand. Just know you'll be washing your hands immediately after cleaning. If there is no hair caught inside, you simple press a door at the bottom of the cylinder, allowing it to dump. I have to empty my hand vac outside, but this unit can be emptied in the kitchen can without spewing much beyond your hand.

ONE YEAR LATER and this vac is working just as good as new. Highly recommended and worth every penny.
18 MONTHS LATER and I'm still reasonably pleased. However, the battery indicator light seems to be a bit wonky. Goes to Level 2 immediately after start-up even tho I know it's fully charged. And gets to the flashing stage faster than it use to. But I think it still lasts as long as it did when new. Can't say for sure but I've never run out of a charge for the area I have to vac.
27 MONTHS LATER and I still recommend this product. Battery Life is still reasonable however the indicator light no longer functions properly. It starts flashing immediately even though I know that the battery is fully charged. I can live with this. Oh, I use this vac almost every day for 10 to 15 minutes.
33 MONTHS AFTER ORIGINAL PURCHASE: Well, I finally broke down and bought a new battery and, guess what?, my "malfunctioning" indicator light started working properly. So I guess the battery was wearing down after all. We use this vacuum almost daily, let's say on average 5 times a week for about 140 weeks. That's 700 charges on the battery. I don't know whether that's good or bad for a lithium-ion battery. The new one cost about $75 including shipping and exchange (from the U.S) so I figure it cost about 10 cents to vac our upper floor on a daily basis. I'm happy with the purchase but I did have a broken wire to the beater bar that I had to solder. Not an easy fix for most people.
46 MONTHS AFTER ORIGINAL PURCHASE: OK, so now we're getting some issues. For the THIRD time, I've had to disassemble the unit to repair a broken wire leading to the beater bar. The designers thought it was a good idea to have the wires pass through the swivel head to the small motor driving the bar. NOT!!! They crimp and eventually break. Three times now. Not an easy repair for most people I'd guess. But now we're approaching 4 years of service on two batteries so maybe that's a reasonable life span for something like this.
57 MONTHS AFTER ORIGINAL PURCHASE: We're on our second battery for this unit and it's starting to run down as I described above. Probably have a few more months before I'll need to replace. I notice that they are now $120!! And buying from the US at a 37% premium is probably not an option. The good news is my last repair job is still holding up but I'm thinking that this vac probably should be replaced soon. It'll be 5 years in a few months so not too bad. It starting to show its age.
